Faculty Support Services can help you integrate instructional technology tools and practices into your courses.
Our services include: course & research web sites, Blackboard, audio-video-podcasting for instruction, online surveys and quizzes, course communication-collaboration tools, i-Clicker classroom response "polling" systems. New Academic Technology Center on the Arts Quad - We've opened a new Academic Technology Center on the Arts Quad, providing a second campus location for faculty, instructors, and graduate TAs to find help and training in the use of computer technologies for instruction.
The ATC in Stimson offers the same technology and assistance as in the original location, but the Arts Quad address makes it convenient for more instructors to access no-cost support in an innovative workspace. Core offerings are the same as in the original ATC: state-of-the-art computers and creative software like Photoshop and Final Cut Pro; equipment to prepare multi-media course content for classroom or web-based delivery, including podcasts, audio, and video; scanners to convert documents, images, and 35 mm slides into digital formats; tools to build course web sites; and support for these and other instructional technologies from a dedicated staff.
The ATC in Stimson is in room G 27. Instructors are invited to walk in any time Monday-Friday from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. or by appointment during the academic year. During morning hours the space is available by reservation for small classes or collaborative sessions.
The ATC in Computing and Communications Center room 124 is open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. during the academic year.
For help at either location or to reserve a workstation, instructors should call (607) 255-9760 or email atc_support@cornell.edu.
Faculty and Academic Staff - Looking for A/V help? Slide scanning? Help with Blackboard? Survey Creation? This is just a sampling of the things that our Student Technology Assistant Program (STAP) students can do for you. Call 255-9760 or email STAP@cornell.edu to find out how STAP can help you!
