Blackboard is a web-based course management system that makes it easy for instructors to manage materials distribution, assignments, communications, and other aspects of instruction for their courses. This service is available and supported for use by all faculty and instructors at Cornell University and extension units. See Features for a list of tools and features included in the Blackboard system. Authentication of users is handled through single sign-on using a Cornell netID or guestID. Users of Blackboard at Cornell must adhere to policies in the Use Guidelines.
Blackboard was upgraded in June 2009. For additional documentation on Blackboard, including information about the upgrade, please visit our Confluence documentation site.
