I have a Blackboard account but get Forbidden Access error when trying to connect?
Make sure that you do not access Blackboard through a Favorite or a Bookmark in your browser. Go directly to blackboard.cornell.edu by typing the address in the URL field then click the Login button. You should also Exit/Quit SideCar if you have it running.
Course Backup Recovery
All courses on Blackboard are regularly backed up. However, we encourage you to make regular local backups of any critical student data such as Gradebook and student submitted work. You can use the Archive option in the Control panel to create a package of the entire course and save it to your computer.
If you need to recover a course from a backup copy, email atc_support@cornell.edu. We can recover the course from a backup up to 8 weeks prior to the date you contact us. Please allow up to 1 week to restore the course.
Any regular system maintenance and server restarts for any of our services will be scheduled weekdays between 5:00 am and 7:00 am. All users should be aware that a system may become unavailable during this maintenance time.
