Use Guidelines

Users of Blackboard must abide by the use guidelines and policies of other Course Technologies.  Please see Guidelines for Use.

Who can request a Blackboard course?

Cornell Faculty and researchers may request a course website. Faculty support staff can submit a request for a course site on behalf of the faculty member.

Is there a course size limit?

The Blackboard system is a shared resource campus-wide. As a guideline, each course site is allocated 200MB of disk space. Disk usage will be monitored, and excessive disk usage will be flagged and users contacted. We encourage all users to do regular end of semester cleanup of course site to avoid excessive space use.
