Secure Surveys

The Online Survey & Evaluation Tool (ONSET) is a web application developed by Cornell Information Technologies to conduct simple, secure, online surveys.

 Features:

  • Create, edit, deploy, and access results of a survey through a web interface.
  • Use five different question types and set individual questions as required. Questions are text only.
  • Define a list of participants allowed to complete the survey securely and once only.
  • Authentication is through Cornell kerberized NetIDs.
  • Test the survey before deployment.
  • Retrieve results in a table or in a text file.

Who Can Use ONSET?

ONSET is available to current Cornell faculty, staff, and students for academic purposes. Administrators and respondents must have valid Cornell NetID. Guest IDs may not be fully supported in the present environment. If you are conducting a survey for people without NetIds, you may want to explore using the Checkbox application.
